Cookie Decorating in Nashille

A friend and I went to Nashville for the weekend. It was a much needed break. We spent Saturday afternoon decorating cookies, and we had a blast! It was so nice to get away for a few days ... away from my Christmas tree and all the memories the walls my house holds.

Davy was always on my mind, but I wasn't slapped with memories of him at every turn. I did, however, decorate a stocking cookie for him. It didn't turn out as cute as it looked in my head, but it's the thought that counts. Right?

We spent the weekend relaxing, playing games, eating tasty food, trying new drinks ... and laughing. We were afraid (yet hoping!) this latest winter storm might trap us in Nashville, but it didn't hit this area and the roads were clear all the way home. (Darn!!)

And, our of respect for our friendship ... and the fact that I don't want her to quit talking to me ... I will not post a picture of her in her Christmas Story deranged Easter Bunny pajamas!

It's a cute picture, though. She had the hood up (bunny ears as all), and was holding a leg lamp cookie. I thought she looked cute, but she was mortified!
