The Tennessee/Georgia state line runs right through the heart of McCaysville. The blue line indicates the boundary.
Oddly, there was a bar (which recently closed) that straddled the Tennessee/Georgia state line. The bar part of the establishment was in Tennessee, while the restrooms were in Fannin County, Georgia ... a dry county. Customers to use the restroom, had to leave their drink on a table in Tennessee before entering the bathroom, just a few feet away, in Georgia!
