An UPDATE on Morning Visitors ... The buck and the doe stayed outside my bedroom window all day and into the early evening yesterday. The last time I saw the pair was around 5:30pm. I have seen a lot of deer out my bedroom window, but they never stayed all day. The longest I have seen them stay was 3-4 hours ... so this was a real treat!
And, since I was pretending the buck was Davy, and that he brought a girl with him, the pleasure of seeing those two silent, graceful animals was amplified greatly. There has been scant happiness during the last 4 months, 3 weeks, and 1 day ... so having "Davy" and his friend outside my window all day brought me immense joy.
