Uncanny

Above is a photo I took while we were driving through the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Below is a photo I took of a print we bought in Indiana, now hanging in the stairwell at the cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The resemblance is uncanny, isn't it? I wonder if the Chattahoochee National Forest is where the artist got his inspiration.

Toccoa River Swinging Bridge

This bridge lives up to it's name.
Although very sturdy and quite safe,
it swings wildly, even when you walk carefully.
I love the sound of waterfalls, however small,
and the soft roar of the nearby river.

A cascading brook near the bridge
that feeds the Toccoa River .
A fallen log channeling water down a furrow.
