Windows Updates
Anyone who has ever installed a fresh copy of Windows from a restore CD or drive, or has purchased a new computer knows that you have several hours of Windows updates in front of you. In my line of work, I spend a good deal of time installing Windows updates. (Can you say BORING?!!!!!!) Yesterday the first update that ran had 246 updates. There were many more to follow, and several reboots before there were no more updates necessary. The "record" for the most updates that I have been presented with at one time is 534.
As persistent and irritating as Windows updates can be, the nag to upgrade to Windows 10 is even worse ... and often appears at the most inopportune time ... as one meteorologist discovered during a live broadcast.
