Eating Beans

I read an article that listed nine reasons people should eat more beans. They are:
  • Beans pack a lot of fiber
  • Beans are good for digestion
  • Beans can help regulate blood sugar
  • Beans can help lower cholesterol
  • Beans are good for your heart
  • Beans can keep weight in check
  • Beans are high in iron
  • Beans are a good source of B vitamins
  • They may reduce cancer risk
I have a much smaller list on why I don't fix beans very often:
  • Boys
Whoever wrote that article has obviously never taken a long road trip with my son. I remember times when traveling on vacation that the gas passed by that child was so noxious it made our eyes water!
