Let's Take a Journey on the World's Fastest Elevator
The elevator at work only takes about 34(ish) seconds to go one floor (providing it's already at the floor you are on when you press the button outside the elevator). At that pace, it would only take (if I calculated correctly) about an hour to go 100 stories.
