School Starts Today

This picture is the first day of high school for Thing 1, seventh grade for Thing 2, and fifth grade for Thing 3. This was a "fun" year ... they were all three at different schools. We all made it through somehow, and I always managed to get everyone to school on time, every day.

Their growing up years were so hectic for me. In addition to running the house single-handedly, getting everyone to school, dance practice, tumbling, cheerleading, karate, wrestling, parties, ball games, sleepovers, doctor/dentist appointments, etc., often required the skills on par with a CIA logistics expert. Looking back, I don't know how I did it. Sometimes I was so overwhelmed I felt like I was hanging on by my fingernails ... but what I wouldn't give to go back and do it over again.
