The third option, of course, is that they're both just lazy by nature!

In all fairness to Thing 2, she's working and going to school full-time. I realize those two activities do not preclude her from sitting up, but I'll cut her some slack ... if she'll QUIT EATING IN THE FAMILY ROOM!!!
